Meet the LYRIC team!

We are a multidisciplinary team bringing together lived and living experience, research expertise, and clinical practice. We work together with young people and implementation partners to design, deliver, and continuously improve the LYRIC program to better support young people.

Professor Bronwyn Myers

LYRIC Chief Investigator
Director of Curtin enAble Institute

 

Professor Myers is the Director of Curtin University’s enAble Institute and Chief Investigator of Project LYRIC. She adapted the LYRIC program for Western Australian youth, building on earlier work developing and implementing similar approaches in South Africa.

 

With over two decades of experience, her research focuses on improving access to care, treatment outcomes, and service quality for people experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental and physical health disorders.

Dr. Merridy Grant

LYRIC Team Lead

Senior Research Fellow, enAble Institute

​

Merridy is a Senior Research Fellow with Curtin's enAble Institute. She is the LYRIC Team Lead and oversees all day-to-day project activities.

​

She is a research psychologist with over 20 years’ experience in mental health and public health research in Australia and internationally. Her work focuses on improving community-based mental health support and translating research into practical services that benefit young people and communities.

Caitlin Munro

LYRIC Clinical Advisor & Training Specialist

Research Associate, enAble Institute
 

Caitlin is the Clinical Advisor and Training Specialist on the LYRIC team, providing training and support to service providers who are delivering the program to young people. She is a registered psychologist and Psychology Board-approved supervisor. She has contributed to LYRIC’s development since 2022.

 

She is passionate about lived experience-led research, with a focus on supporting young people experiencing grief and mental health difficulties.

Sian Pauley-Gadd

LYRIC Data Manager

Senior Research Officer, enAble Institute

Sian is a Senior Research Officer for Curtin's enAble Institute, and the LYRIC Data Manager. She supports the organisation, management, and analysis of program data, ensuring the information collected is meaningful, relevant, and useful for strengthening practice and program delivery. 
She has been involved in LYRIC since the pilot trial.

She is passionate about improving youth wellbeing, with a research focus on child maltreatment, grief and loss, and mental health.

Amelia Freeman

LYRIC Implementation Support & Training Specialist

Research Officer​, enAble Institute
 

Amelia is a Research Officer for Curtin's enAble Institute, and is the Implementation Support and Training Specialist on the LYRIC team. She is an ACA-registered counsellor and was part of the initial LYRIC roll-out as a headspace clinician delivering the program directly to young people. Now, she supports program partners and training delivery. 

​

Amelia is passionate about youth mental health, with a research focus on dissociation and trauma, and young people living with Type 1 Diabetes.
